Jett Lucas, son of George “Star Wars” Lucas, and Jeff Krelitz, CEO of Heavy Metal Magazine, have joined forces to launch a publication in the “Windy City” that will offer edutainment on all things related to cannabis.

The name of the magazine is, as yet, under wraps but will be revealed in due course of time. The magazine is set for release in September this year. Jett and Jeff indicated that some of the magazine production activities will take place in Chicago. They made the announcement in West Town, where they were present at an event to announce this venture.

Chicago’s arty crowd was present in numbers and if, that’s an indication, then we can be assured that the magazine will gain traction in this neck of the woods, and from here, it will, hopefully spread out to other parts.

Chicago will feature prominently in the magazine. If you’re interested in feeling the canna-friendly currents of this city, then do purchase your copy whenever its out. The duo hopes that this magazine will accomplish for pot culture what Playboy did for cocktail culture. The first issue is going to feature a celebrity, and from the hints dropped, this is one unlikely celebrity who will grace the initial issue. Keep your fingers crossed and the weed dry.
