About Bay 11
60% sativa | 40% indicaThe 2011 High Times Cannabis Cup Award winner, Bay 11, is a sativa cannabis strain that emits a pleasant sweet and fruity scent with earthy pine undertones and similar tastes. Its harvest-ready buds become sticky with amber tinted trichomes atop pale green leaves (some having noted golden spots). Its pistils are thick and golden-orange.
First bred by Grand Daddy Purp, this strain has mysterious genetics with only one parent, the hybrid Appalachia, being known.
The THC levels of Bay 11 can vary, but its high is described as great for use throughout the day. It relaxes the muscles, relieving pain, while boosting creativity and uplifting the spirits. Its sativa effects have been known to be long-lasting, with many people enjoying indica-like effects on the body. Bay 11 will calm the nerves and create a case of the munchies. However, for some, it will produce a slight sedating sensation so take caution if tasks need to still get done during the day.
Dry mouth and sometimes dry eyes can occur, with the rare bout of paranoia if too much is consumed at once.
It takes 9-10 weeks for Bay 11 to flower if growing indoors. Growing outdoors, plant June 1st and in ten weeks at the end of October, plants should be ready to reap. Outdoor growth produces higher yields.
Growing Information
Easy to grow either indoors or out, but just make sure you don't forget about the aroma! This strain's smell might attract the attention of some nosy neighbors.
